Dataset Abstract

Measurements of daily maximum sapflow density in the 3 exploratory sites visited in 2012

Dataset Design

We sampled 4-5 trees per species and per plot for the sapflow measurements. In each site, we selected among the HIPS one monoculture of each selected species and one 3-species mixture apart from Italy were instead of Castanea monoculture, we selected a mixture of Q.cerris and Q.petraea.

Spatial Extent

Italy, Germany and Finland

Temporal Extent

The measurements were conducted in all three sites all over the summer 2012

Taxonomic Extent

Betula pendula, Picea abies, Pinus sylvestris, Fagus sylvatica, Fraxinus excelsior, Quercus robur, Quercus petraea, Quercus cerris and Castanea sativa

Data Analysis

The parameters of interest were all climatic data but also the number of species in mixture.
