Dataset Abstract

Isotopic signature in 13C and 18O of sunlit leaves and needles. Data was collected in the Satakunta plantation in Finland during July and August 2011.

Dataset Design

We sampled 10 trees per species and per plot for isotopic measurements and 3 to 4 trees per species and per plot for the sapflow measurements. The sapflow sensors were only installed in monocultures, 2-species and 3-species mixtures while the leaves and needles were sampled in all combinations.

Temporal Extent

The measurements and samplings were conducted from the 07/07/2011 to the 08/08/2011

Taxonomic Extent

Alnus glutinosa, Betula pendula, Larix sibirica, Picea abies, Pinus sylvestris

Data Analysis

The parameters of interest were all climatic data but also the number of species in mixture.
